Notes on the Week: Weekly Forecast for January 8-14

Overview-

This week is the final week for the cycle of the New Moon in Sagittarius, a time of truth.  Now, as the Moon gets ready to meet up with the Sun in the sign of Capricorn, we’re letting go of anything that is no longer truthful to us that we can just no longer carry.  This will be heavily impacted by Venus, Pluto, and the Sun meeting up with each other also in Capricorn on Thursday, January 11.  Think of this like the pressure needed in the earth to make diamonds, and then the diamonds are extracted and shined.  It’s a tough process, but leads to sparkly results.  While you may already be feeling the energy of these planets meeting up, the exact date that the meeting takes place is 1.11.18.  That’s a good looking number when it comes to getting clear on inner truths.  A good mantra for this week is, “Love conquers all” in our preparation to come to the New Moon on the 17th with the emotional essentials we want to welcome into reality.

Monday, January 8

Moon in Libra

Who can ask for a more harmonious day.  The Moon is in Libra.  Venus, the planet ruler of Libra, meets up with the Sun.  Shed love everywhere, let your creativity shine.  Now while it’s a harmonious day, it’s hard to find a perfect day in astrology.  How could we grow without some challenges?  In the afternoon Mars has a good conversation with Pluto about stepping into your power.  The Moon challenges the Sun and Venus to fulfill what you came here to do by following your heart before the Sun and Venus finally meet up to make plans for the morning.  Listen and follow through.

Tuesday, January 9

Moon goes void at 8:12 am

Moon goes into Scorpio at 12:05 pm

At 8:12 am PST the Moon goes void until it dives into Scorpio at 12:05 pm.  Wear red to work, but overall let this be a calm morning for completing tasks you’ve been meaning to finish.  It’s not a good time to bring brand new idea into existence.  When the Moon enters Scorpio reflect on the state of your personal psychology.  It’s a great time to check in, see how you’re doing, and be incredibly gentle with yourself.  With Venus getting together with Pluto today you’re most likely going to feel deep emotions.  You feel like you’re doing a somersault underwater and forgot to take a breath deep.  Talk about it, write about it, express it in some way.  Initially it may feel like you’re drowning, remember, you have all you need to make this transformation.  Take action, even though it may seem incredibly daunting.  Don’t think too hard about it and dive in, taking the leap into the hard work now will be so worth it in the future.

Moon in Scorpio

There’s a dreamlike state surrounding today.  Try to float in mindfulness rather than escapism.  You will be especially happy you did when Mercury enters Capricorn later in the day. With the elemental mixture of flowy water and structured earth, communication about your dreams is a great way to plant seeds that will later sprout out into reality.

Moon goes into Sagittarius at 11:04 pm

The Moon is going to be void today for over sixteen hours.  That’s a long void Moon!  Before we’re lulled into a long day of reflection and releasing, the Moon talks to Pluto, the Sun, and Venus in Capricorn, and meets up with Mars in Scorpio.  The jolts of energy between the Moon and the Capricorn planets can lead to the beginning of changes when it comes to love and creation.  When the Moon meets up with Mars you may feel the urge to act on this matter, and want to REALLY BADLY.  Not so fast!  Wait until the Moon travels into adventurous Sagittarius at 11:04 pm PST.  The preparation time in between will ready you for your quest.

With the Moon in Sagittarius It’s going to be an adventurous weekend.  Your walk and your talk meet-up tonight when Mercury meets with Saturn in Capricorn.  Be mindful of who you talk to at the bar, you may be going on a journey with them.  Don’t get caught up in a stranger’s dreamy eyes tonight, you’re ready for adventure, but remember the adventure lies in yourself, not in the escapism someone else supplies.

With Uranus going direct last week maybe you were feeling a little antsy and pent up.  Today the fire is stoked further with the Moon in fiery Sagittarius and Venus squaring off with Uranus.  Today is a day to take your love and creativity in a new direction.  Do the loves in your life and what you do as your creative outlet make you feel free?  If not, conflict may arise today to set you on your right path to freedom.

Moon goes into Capricorn at 11:42 am

 The Moon is void until 11:42 am PST.  Then the Moon enters Capricorn, to get ready for it’s New Moon phase on January 17th. This is a good time to check your emotions around work and career.  Why do you do what you do?  What are your motives?  Be honest.  No judgement, just reflection.  The Moon has trined Uranus and is seeking emotional freedom.  Do you get cases of the Sundays, and you find that you don’t really want to start your week?  If so, now is a great time to make a getaway plan.  The Moon also meets up with Saturn and then Mercury.  Speak about your feelings of doubt.  This is how you let them go.
