Monday, January 1^st

Supermoon Full Moon at 6:24 pm

In the wee hours of the morning the Moon travels into Cancer, the sign of family, foundations, and home.  You may awake with feelings of tension about the conflict between work and family, or have a clear understanding of the work that needs to be done.  Maybe a little bit of both.  Come the afternoon you’ll be ready to change out of your PJ’s for another party, even if it involves putting on something sparkly and then resume watching Star Wars.  This Cancer Super Full Moon will bring up strong emotions about home for you.  In an interview when Feist talked about the inspiration for her song “Mushaboom” she said it involved the quote, “Mushaboom isn’t a place, it’s a state of mind.”  Look around you, do you feel the sense of home you crave?  If so, enjoy the dreamlike state that will take over the night to celebrate.  If not, still celebrate the moment, but also use it to dream about how you will get to this feeling of home.  Sparks will fly tonight, maybe with that someone you kissed at midnight last night?  Don’t be surprised if you get cozy with someone (or hey, even yourself) under the covers.

This is a very lucky day when it comes to work and the foundations that sustain you.  Before the Moon goes void in the afternoon you have the energy of abundance, creativity, and action coming together to connect your Sun and Moon in this lattice of energy that flows with ease.  Use it to your advantage, the odds are in your favor.  Once the Moon goes void (is no longer making any aspects with any other planets) congratulate yourself for the action steps you took in honor of you, and now try to find yourself in a relaxing situation.  Watch for quick results, Uranus stations to go direct leading to big jolts of freedom.  It’s a personal revolution.

The moon is now in Leo the sign of fun, creativity, and love affairs.  Enjoy accordingly.  In the morning Mars and Venus sextile each other.  Astrologer Steven Forrest likens a sextile to something “stimulating”.  This stimulates the creativity of your career, and receiving other people’s money.  Use the energy accordingly.  This may also pop up as something having to do with love, creativity, and abundance in your sign of career and legacy being lit up by action, sex, and conflict in your sign of sex, death, the occult, and other people’s money.  Remember, death is often metaphorical in astrology, especially when it comes to the sign of Scorpio, where Mars is currently living.  Besides the scorpion, who survives in the desert, the phoenix also represents Scorpio, the mythic bird who rises again from the ashes after dying, reborn.

Thursday, January 4^th

Spirits are high and there may be conflict in the morning with the hard energy directed from Mars and Jupiter at the Moon.  The way you and someone fights says just as much about your relationship as when you’re having a wonderful time together.  You will have the perfect words to express your feelings in this conflict.  Use this energy to heal the situation and not say something you can never take back.  The situation will be resolved as there is an ease of energy when the Moon goes void at 3:10 pm.  It’s a great time for resting, reflecting, and finishing tasks.

It may be Friday, but it’s actually a really good day to get work done, or at least jot your ideas down.  Later in the evening the Moon opposes Neptune who is sitting in Pisces, the sign of dreams and spirituality.  If the work you’ve done today was in honor of your highest calling the Moon and Neptune seeing each other will be pleasant, if your actions have not been in honor of your dream you will be met with high emotions trying to reroute onto the path that will bring you spiritual fulfillment.
